Dr. Hernández obtained his Doctoral degree from Texas A&M University (1996), Masters degree from Georgia Institute of Technology (1988), and Bachelors degree from the University of Puerto Rico (1987), all in Industrial Engineering. Currently he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at UPRM. There he specializes in the courses of Real Time Process Control and Computer Based Information Systems among others. His teaching and research interests includes: Optimization, Process Control, Information Systems, Genetic Algorithms, Web Development, PC-Based Monitoring Systems.
